I’ve been focusing my work on 2d animation for the past several years. During that time I have produced at least 2 dozen animations for various clients. I do most of the work myself, except for music and voiceovers. Much of the time, I get a script from the client and I produce storyboards, character designs, and an animatic. These elements help me to plan the animation before production starts. I then start doing layouts and backgrounds. Producing the establishing scenes first helps to save time producing the other backgrounds, since I am able to use elements from these scenes for the remaining close ups. For years I worked in Adobe Flash (Adobe Animate now). But for the past 8 years I’ve been working in Toon Boom Harmony. I find it to be a more robust application for cut-out animation. Which is the type of 2d animation I create.
